UPPSC Announces Recruitment of 1,156 Medical Professor and Assistant Professor Vacancies for 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has launched a major medical faculty recruitment drive for 1,156 Professor and Assistant Professor posts in the Medical Education Department, Uttar Pradesh (Allopathy). Of the total vacancies, Assistant Professor positions account for 1,112 posts, while another 44 posts are available at Professor level.

Recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. D-1/E-1/2026, issued on August 18, 2026. The application portal opened the same day and candidates have until September 1 to complete the online application and fee payment.

These are Group-A Gazetted teaching positions for government medical colleges across Uttar Pradesh. Who Can Apply for Professor and Assistant Professor Posts?

Professor Age Limit

Applicants for Professor posts must be at least 35 and not more than 55 years of age.

OTR Required Before Applying

Candidates who have not previously registered with UPPSC need to complete One Time Registration (OTR) before submitting the recruitment form.
