Odisha Police Recruitment 2026 For 800 Special Police Officer (SPO) Posts
Odisha Police, Government of Odisha, has released an official notification inviting offline applications for the recruitment of 800 Special Police Officers (SPO) on a one-year contractual basis to strengthen law enforcement across the state. The recruitment is open only to retired Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, or Inspectors with a clean service record who are permanent residents of Odisha and able to read, write, and speak Odia. The offline application process began on 05 March 2026 and will close on 30 March 2026, and eligible candidates must submit their application forms within this period.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive remuneration as per Government Memo No. 24533/F dated 22 September 2022 issued by the Government of Odisha. The salary will be provided according to the contractual terms for Special Police Officers.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applying to the Special Police Officer post is 65 years. Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements including physical fitness and a clean service record.
