National Internship in Official Statistics (NIOS) 2025 Notification for 270+ Internees across all India (Phase-I)

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) invites applications for Phase I of the National Internship in Official Statistics (NIOS) 2025. This prestigious program aims to engage bright and motivated individuals in statistical work, offering them an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and policymaking. A total of 272 internships are available under this scheme, which are divided across offices in Delhi and other locations throughout the country. The internship provides students and recent graduates a unique platform to contribute to India’s statistical system, work closely with government departments, and gain insights into the functioning of large-scale data initiatives. It is a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their academic and professional profiles while supporting the nation’s development objectives.

Short Notice

National Internship in Official Statistics Eligibility Criteria

• Undergraduate students: Must have completed/appeared for the second-year exams with at least one paper in Statistics or Mathematics and secured at least 75% in the 12th grade.
• Postgraduate/Research students: Must have secured at least 70% in Graduation.
• Graduates/Postgraduates: Must have graduated within the last two years with at least one paper in Statistics or Mathematics and secured at least 70% marks.

Stipend for National Internship in Official Statistics

• ₹10,000/month.
• Additional ₹500/day for field visits in Group B locations.

Internship Duration
The internship duration will range from 2 to 6 months, depending on the project.

2. For Group B (Rest of India):
   • Fill out the application form available at: Group B Form.
   • Submit the printed and self-attested copy along with supporting documents to the respective nodal officers of Group B offices.
