NCPOR Project Scientist Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 6 Posts

The ESSO-National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has announced the recruitment of six Project Scientist-I positions across various research projects such as PACER and OSMART. These posts are offered on a temporary contract basis and are ideal for qualified candidates with a strong academic background and relevant project experience. The recruitment is through a walk-in interview scheduled for 02 February 2026. The roles are primarily based in Goa, where NCPOR is headquartered, but some posts require fieldwork in extreme environments like Antarctica and the Arctic.

Salary

All selected candidates for Project Scientist-I will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 56,000/- + HRA.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Selection will be made on the basis of a walk-in interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility and interviewed on 02 February 2026.
