The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for various technical and support staff posts on a contractual basis. Positions include Vehicle Mechanic, Electrician, Crane Operator, Generator Mechanic, Welder, Plumber, Carpenter, Scientific Assistant, Nurse, Radio/Wireless Operator and other support roles for deployment at Indian research stations in Antarctica. The contract period will be 6 to 18 months depending on requirements. Eligible candidates with relevant qualifications and experience can attend the walk-in interview at the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi.

The ESSO-National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has announced the recruitment of six Project Scientist-I positions across various research projects such as PACER and OSMART. These posts are offered on a temporary contract basis and are ideal for qualified candidates with a strong academic background and relevant project experience. The recruitment is through a walk-in interview scheduled for 02 February 2026. The roles are primarily based in Goa, where NCPOR is headquartered, but some posts require fieldwork in extreme environments like Antarctica and the Arctic.

Salary
All selected candidates for Project Scientist-I will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 56,000/- + HRA.
