ESIC Hyderabad Announces 67 Faculty and Senior Resident Vacancies, Walk-In Interviews Scheduled

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Medical College & Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad has announced walk-in recruitment for 67 Faculty and Senior Resident vacancies across 28 medical specialties. The recruitment under Advertisement No. 02/2026 covers Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident posts on a contractual basis.

Instead of submitting an online application, eligible candidates have to attend the walk-in interview scheduled for their respective specialty. Interviews will be conducted on August 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31, 2026 at ESIC Medical College, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. Reporting is permitted from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and candidates arriving after the reporting deadline will not be considered.

Appointments will be subject to the prescribed medical qualifications, age criteria and document verification. Faculty eligibility is governed by the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025, while the recruitment also contains specific provisions concerning certain specialties and DNB equivalence.

Reporting Time: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Candidates reporting after 10:30 AM will not be allowed to participate.

ESIC Hyderabad Vacancy Details

A total of 67 vacancies are available for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident positions across 28 specialties.

The recruitment includes departments such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Pathology, Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Oncology and other medical specialties.

For example, the August 24 schedule includes Assistant Professor and Associate Professor vacancies in Biochemistry, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor vacancies in Microbiology, and Assistant Professor and Professor positions in Anatomy.

Candidates should follow the specialty-wise interview schedule applicable to the post for which they are eligible.

Educational Qualification

Educational eligibility for Faculty positions will be determined in accordance with the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025, notified by the National Medical Commission on June 30, 2025.

Candidates must possess the prescribed medical qualification and other eligibility applicable to their post and specialty. The recruitment also provides transition-period qualification provisions for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) and Critical Care Medicine (ICU).

DNB equivalence will be considered according to the applicable NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications provisions dated February 14, 2022.

Age Limit

The maximum age is calculated as on the respective date of the walk-in interview.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹500 for candidates who are required to pay the fee.

SC/ST candidates, female candidates, ex-servicemen and PH candidates are exempt from payment. The applicable fee is to be paid through SB Collect as prescribed for the walk-in process.

Selection Process

Selection will primarily be based on the candidate’s performance in the walk-in interview before the Selection Board. Original educational, age and experience certificates will be checked during document verification.

Candidates recommended for appointment will also be required to satisfy the prescribed medical fitness requirements.

Contract Period

The appointments are contractual, initially for a period of one year. The engagement may be extended up to three years subject to the applicable conditions and performance. For Faculty appointments, the age ceiling applicable to continuation is 70 years.

Selected candidates are also required to provide a security deposit of ₹1,00,000 under the contractual terms.

1. Obtain the prescribed ESIC application form and fill in all required information.
2. Check the eligibility conditions applicable to the particular Faculty or Senior Resident post and specialty.
3. Keep two passport-size photographs along with self-attested copies of age, educational qualification, experience and other required certificates.
4. Carry the original certificates for verification at the interview venue.
5. Report at Academic Block, ESIC Medical College, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad on the interview date assigned to your specialty.
6. Candidates must report between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Late reporting will not be accepted.
7. Pay the ₹500 application fee through the prescribed SB Collect process if you are not covered by a fee exemption.
8. Complete document verification and appear before the Selection Board for the walk-in interview.
