Central Silk Board Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 28 Scientist B Posts

The Central Silk Board (CSB), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, has invited online applications for the recruitment of Scientist ‘B’ (Pre-Cocoon Sector) in the discipline of Textile Technology. A total of 28 vacancies have been announced, and eligible candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Textile Technology along with a valid GATE-2025 score in the Textile Engineering & Fibre Science (TF) paper. The positions will be filled through a combination of GATE score and personal interview. Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India and will receive pay under Level-10 of the 7th CPC. The application process is open from 19 January 2026 to 18 February 2026, and only online applications will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 18.02.2026. Relaxation as per Government rules.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Textile Technology from a recognized university.
• Mandatory Requirement: Valid GATE-2025 Score in TF (Textile Engineering & Fibre Science) Paper.
• Preference: Freshers with excellent academic record will be preferred.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500).

Age Limit

Maximum age is 35 years as on 18 February 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
