NIOT Recruitment 2025: Apply for 27 Technicians & Graduate Apprentice Posts
The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, has released the official notification for the engagement of 27 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This recruitment includes Technician (Diploma) Apprentices and Graduate (Degree) Apprentices in various engineering and science disciplines. The apprenticeship training is intended to provide practical exposure and enhance employability for fresh diploma and degree holders in ocean technology and allied fields. Eligible candidates must register on the NATS portal and appear for the walk-in interview on 27th October 2025 at the NIOT campus in Chennai.

Education
All candidates must have completed their diploma or degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution. Registration on the NATS portal is mandatory prior to the interview.
Salary / Stipend
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹12,000/- per month
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: ₹13,000/- per month
Age Limit
- Technician Apprentices: 18 to 24 years
- Graduate Apprentices: 21 to 26 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: up to 10 years (additional for reserved categories)

Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility and performance in the interview.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates must complete the following steps:
Step 1: Visit http://nats.education.gov.in, click Enroll, fill the application form, and note the Enrolment Number. Wait for one day for activation.
Step 2: After activation, log in again, go to Establishment Request, click Find Establishment, upload resume, and search “NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OCEAN TECHNOLOGY”. Click apply twice.
Step 3: Appear for the Walk-in Interview on 27th October 2025 (Reporting Time: 08:30 AM) at the NIOT Campus, Chennai. Interview will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
