INFLIBNET Recruitment 2025 for Assistants, Scientists and Other Vacancies

The Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET), an Inter-University Centre under the University Grants Commission (UGC), has released Advertisement No. 2 of 2025 for the recruitment of five key positions including Scientist and Assistant roles in Group A, B, and C categories. The vacancies are open for direct recruitment and deputation basis, located at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Online applications must be submitted by 08 August 2025, and hard copies of applications must reach the institute by 18 August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

Education

• Scientist-E (Library Science): Ph.D. in Library Science + 9 years’ experience or M.Lib./M.L.I.Sc. + 15 years’ experience
• Scientist-D (Computer Science): Ph.D. + 4 years’ experience or M.E. + 6 years or B.E./MCA + 9 years
• Scientist-B (Library Science): M.Lib./M.L.I.Sc. + 1 year experience
• Senior Assistant/Office Assistant-II: Bachelor’s Degree (second class) + 5 years’ relevant experience
• Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years’ relevant experience

Salary

• Scientist-E: Level-13 ₹1,23,100–2,15,900
• Scientist-D: Level-12 ₹78,800–2,09,200
• Scientist-B: Level-10 ₹56,100–1,77,500
• Senior Assistant: Level-6 ₹35,400–1,12,400
• Assistant: Level-4 ₹25,500–81,100

Age Limit (as on 08/08/2025)

• Scientist-E/D: Up to 45 years
• Scientist-B: Up to 35 years
• Senior Assistant: Up to 30 years (35 for Govt./University employees, 33 for OBC-NCL)
• Assistant: Up to 25 years (35 for Govt./University employees)
• Age relaxation as per Government of India norms
