The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, has released a notification for the recruitment of Research Associate-I (RA-I) under a DST-SERB sponsored project in the Department of Physics. This temporary research position offers an excellent opportunity for Ph.D. holders and candidates who have submitted their thesis in the area of fiber optics and waveguides to contribute to cutting-edge research on nonlinear pulse dynamics in semiconductor core optical fibers. Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

• Essential: Ph.D. degree obtained or thesis submitted in the area of fiber optics and waveguides.
• Minimum Academic Qualification: First Class in M.Sc. (Physics) or M.Tech. (Electronics Engineering).
• Desirable: Candidates with published research in semiconductor core fibers and waveguides will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Maximum 32 years as on closing date.
• Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Differently-abled candidates as per GOI norms.

Salary

• ₹ 47,000/- + 24% HRA (₹ 11,280)
• Total Monthly Salary: ₹ 58,280/-
