Zakir Husain Delhi College, one of the oldest constituent colleges of the University of Delhi, has invited applications for 28 Assistant Professor posts in various academic departments. Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or possess a Ph.D. in the concerned subject as per UGC 2018 norms. Teaching experience and peer-reviewed research publications will be considered desirable qualifications. There is no upper age limit for these posts, in accordance with UGC rules.
Education
Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. NET qualification or a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied subject is required as per UGC 2018 guidelines. Desirable qualifications include prior teaching experience and research output published in peer-reviewed journals.
Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed at Level 10 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with a starting basic pay of ₹57,700 per month. In addition, they will receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and others as per Delhi University norms.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for the post of Assistant Professor as per the UGC regulations.
