The Tamil Nadu Board of Rural Development (TNBRD), which manages Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in Thiruvannamalai and Krishnagiri districts, has issued Notification No. 01/2025-TNBRD for the recruitment of three key positions. These include Senior Scientist and Head, Stenographer Grade-III, and Supporting Staff Grade-I. The recruitment is aimed at enhancing agricultural research, extension, and operational efficiency in rural Tamil Nadu. These positions are co-terminus with the scheme under which they are funded. Eligible Indian citizens are invited to apply through offline mode. The notification was published in the Employment News dated 27th September 2025, and the last date to apply is 27th October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
Senior Scientist and Head: Ph.D. in Agriculture/Basic Sciences with 8 years of relevant experience. For Engineering, Ph.D. with 6 years or Master’s with 10 years is acceptable. Preference for extension work specialization.
Stenographer (Grade-III): 12th pass with dictation (80 wpm for 10 mins) and transcription (50 mins English or 65 mins Tamil). Knowledge of shorthand is desirable.
Supporting Staff (Grade-I): Matriculation or ITI pass with basic agriculture or farm work knowledge.
Age Limit
Senior Scientist and Head: Not exceeding 47 years
Stenographer Grade-III: Not exceeding 27 years
Supporting Staff Grade-I: Not exceeding 25 years
Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwD: 10 years
Govt Employees: 5 years
No upper age limit for ICAR employees
