TN Health and Family Welfare Department Recruitment 2025 for 27+ Special Educators, Assistants, MTS, Drivers and Other
The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu, under the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the District Health Society, Erode District, has issued a recruitment notification for 27 temporary contractual posts across several healthcare institutions. The positions span a variety of medical and support roles including Hemoglobinopathy Counsellor, Special Educator for Behavioural Therapy, Audio Metric Assistant, Radiographer, and others. These appointments are purely on a temporary basis, and candidates will be selected through walk-in interviews scheduled in July 2025 at five designated centers in Erode District. Eligibility criteria and requirement
The age limit will be as per Tamil Nadu Government rules. For the post of Special Educator for Behavioural Therapy, the upper age limit is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per state government regulations.
Education
Each post has distinct qualifications:
- Hemoglobinopathy Counsellor: Bachelor’s in Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work, or Diploma in GNM/B.Sc Nursing. Must be from a tribal community.
- Special Educator for Behavioural Therapy: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education (Intellectual Disability) with valid RCI registration.
- Audio Metric Assistant: One-year Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS).
- Radiographer: B.Sc in Radiography.
- MMU Driver: 10th pass with valid LMV driving license.
- MMU Cleaner, Sanitary Worker, Multi Purpose Hospital Worker, Siddha – Multi Purpose Hospital Worker: 8th pass with Tamil literacy.
- Siddha – Therapeutic Assistant (Male & Female): Diploma in Nursing Therapy from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Salary
Salaries range from ₹300 per day to ₹23,000 per month depending on the post. For instance, Siddha – Multi Purpose Hospital Worker is paid on a daily wage basis, while Special Educator receives ₹23,000 per month.
Age Limit
For most posts, the age criteria follow Tamil Nadu Government norms. Special Educator candidates must be below 40 years of age. Other age relaxations are applicable as per state rules.

Selection Process
