Eligibility Criteria

Education

Applicants must have:

• M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc., or M.S. degree in Physics
• Desirable Skills:
  • Programming experience in Python or Mathematica
  • Solid background in condensed matter physics
  • Strong grasp of core physics concepts

Salary

Selected candidate will receive:

• ₹ 27,000/- per month + HRA as per institutional norms.

The Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP), Kolkata, under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, has issued a recruitment notification for the post of Scientist ‘C’ through direct recruitment. This position is an excellent opportunity for highly qualified postgraduates in Physics, Chemistry, or Radiological Physics, with experience in radiation surveillance or radiation safety operations. Eligibility Criteria

Education

• First Class (60%) M.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry with 2 years post-qualification experience in radiation surveillance in a processing facility.
  OR
• First Class (60%) M.Sc. in Radiological Physics with 2 years post-qualification experience as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).

Salary

• Pay Level 10: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month as per 7th CPC pay matrix.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on 21st October 2025.

Age Relaxation (as per Govt. of India rules):

• SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD: As applicable
