NIT Warangal Recruitment 2025 for 13+ AE, Assistants, Technical and Other Non-Teaching Posts
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced recruitment for 13 non-teaching positions across Group A and B categories. The recruitment includes both Direct Recruitment and Deputation (including Short Term Contract) modes. Positions include Principal Scientific/Technical Officer, Principal SAS Officer, Senior Scientific/Technical Officer, Executive Engineer, Assistant Registrar, and Assistant Engineer. Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
Education
- Principal Scientific/Technical Officer: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc./MCA in relevant fields with 15 years’ experience (including 8 years as Senior Scientific/Technical Officer).
- Principal SAS Officer: Master’s degree in Physical Education/Sports Science with 15 years’ experience, participation in recognized competitions.
- Senior Scientific/Technical Officer: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./MCA with 10 years’ experience; Ph.D. desirable.
- Executive Engineer (Civil): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience as Assistant Engineer.
- Assistant Registrar: Master’s Degree with 55% marks; desirable experience in management/engineering/law.
- Assistant Engineer: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil/Electrical with 5 years’ experience as Junior Engineer.
Salary
Principal Scientific/Technical Officer, Principal SAS Officer: Level-14 (₹1,44,200 + allowances)
Senior Scientific/Technical Officer: Level-12 (₹78,800 + allowances)
Executive Engineer, Assistant Registrar: Level-10 (₹56,100 + allowances)
Assistant Engineer: Level-7 (₹44,900 + allowances)
Age Limit
Maximum 56 years as on 17 August 2025 (relaxations as per GoI norms).

Group A posts: ₹1,000
Group B posts: ₹500
No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
Selection Process
Shortlisting based on eligibility and experience followed by interview. Objective/skill test or case study may also be conducted if required.
