The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut), a premier technical institution and an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced the Faculty Recruitment Notification 2025. The institute invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of 12 faculty positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor Grade-I in various departments. Candidates with a consistently good academic record and relevant experience in teaching, research, or industry are encouraged to apply. NIT Calicut Faculty 2025 Vacancy

Education

• All candidates must hold a Ph.D. in relevant discipline with a consistently good academic record.
• Post-Ph.D. teaching or industrial/research experience required as per post:
  • Assistant Professor Grade-I: 3 years post-Ph.D. or 6 years overall.
  • Associate Professor: 6 years post-Ph.D. with at least 3 years as Assistant Professor in Pay Level 12.
  • Professor: 10 years post-Ph.D. or 13 years overall, with minimum 3–4 years as Associate Professor depending on pay level.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level-14A (AGP ₹ 10,500)
• Associate Professor: Pay Level-13A2 (AGP ₹ 9,500)
• Assistant Professor Grade-I: Pay Level-12 (AGP ₹ 8,000)

Age Limit

There is no specific upper age limit mentioned; however, eligibility and experience must be met as per post requirements.
