NIDM Faculty Recruitment 2025: Apply for Professor and Associate Professor | Last Date: 4th August 2025
The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), functioning under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for 07 faculty positions. The recruitment is for Group ‘A’ posts including 03 Professors and 04 Associate Professors, to be filled on a direct recruitment basis. Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates applying for faculty positions at NIDM must meet the eligibility standards as per UGC/NIDM norms. The age limit will be as prescribed by these guidelines, with relaxations available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per government rules. Applicants must ensure that all qualifications and experience are supported with documentary evidence.
Education
For the post of Professor, candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Environmental or Earth Sciences, Engineering, Disaster Management, or related subjects with at least 55% marks, along with a Ph.D. A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate teaching, training, or research experience at university or national level institutions is required, along with at least 10 publications in indexed or ISBN/ISSN journals or books. They should also have contributed to curriculum development or education innovation.
For Associate Professor, a Master’s Degree with 55% marks and a Ph.D. in the relevant field is required, along with a good academic record and relevant research or teaching experience.
Salary
Professors will receive a salary in the pay matrix level of ₹1,44,200 to ₹2,18,200 per month as per the 7th CPC. Associate Professors will be paid ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
Age Limit
The age limit will be governed as per UGC and NIDM rules, with standard relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories and PwBD candidates.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹1,000 for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST applicants. PwBD candidates are exempt from paying any fee. All payments must be made via NEFT as instructed in the official notification.
Selection Process
The selection process includes screening and shortlisting of applications, followed by interviews of eligible candidates. The institute reserves the right to assess academic records, experience, and research contributions before final selection.
