UPTET Result 2026 Declared

The wait for candidates who appeared in UPTET 2026 has ended with the declaration of the result on August 26. Candidates can now log in through the designated examination portal and check their performance and qualifying status.

UPTET is an eligibility examination rather than a recruitment drive for a fixed number of vacancies. Qualifying the examination establishes teacher eligibility at the applicable level under the prescribed rules but does not by itself amount to appointment as a teacher.

Candidates should download their result or score information and carefully check their personal details, paper or level, marks and qualifying status. A copy should be preserved because UPTET qualification details may be required while applying for eligible teaching recruitments.

UPTET 2026 Important Dates

The UPTET application process began on March 27, 2026. Following an extension, candidates were allowed to submit applications and pay the prescribed examination fee until May 3. The form correction facility remained available until May 8.

Exam city information was released on June 22, followed by the admit card on June 30. The Teacher Eligibility Test was then conducted on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026.

The answer key was published on July 8, giving candidates an opportunity to review the examination responses under the applicable process. The final result was subsequently declared on August 26.

UPTET Primary Teacher Eligibility for Classes 1 to 5

Candidates seeking eligibility for teaching at the primary level were required to meet the prescribed academic and teacher-training conditions. The supplied eligibility details include a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution along with an eligible teacher-training qualification such as BTC, B.El.Ed or an equivalent programme.

Depending on the applicable qualification route, candidates are generally required to have the prescribed minimum marks in Graduation or the relevant teacher-training programme. Final-year candidates of eligible courses may also be covered under the conditions specified in the examination notification.

Since teacher eligibility rules can depend on the candidate’s precise academic route, applicants should refer to the official UPTET notification for the qualification combination applicable to them.

UPTET Upper Primary Eligibility for Classes 6 to 8

For upper-primary teacher eligibility, candidates generally require a Bachelor’s degree with the prescribed percentage of marks along with an eligible professional teaching qualification such as B.Ed., BTC, B.El.Ed. or an equivalent programme.

The stated conditions generally require at least 50% marks, although 45% may be applicable in certain cases according to the relevant rules. Candidates possessing eligible Special Education qualifications from RCI-recognized institutions may also qualify under the prescribed provisions.

Certain candidates who have completed Intermediate with the required marks along with an eligible four-year integrated teacher education programme may also fall within the permitted qualification routes. Candidates should verify the exact conditions applicable to their academic background.

UPTET 2026 Application Fee

General, EWS and OBC candidates were required to pay Rs. 1,000 as the examination fee. The fee for SC and ST candidates was Rs. 500, while PwD candidates were required to pay Rs. 300.

The fee could be submitted through the supported online payment options, including debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS and available cash card or mobile wallet facilities.

UPTET Age Limit

The supplied examination information does not prescribe a specific minimum or maximum age for UPTET 2026. Candidates should distinguish between eligibility to appear for TET and the age conditions applicable to a particular teacher recruitment.

When candidates subsequently apply for teaching vacancies using their UPTET qualification, the age limit and relaxation conditions of that specific recruitment notification will apply.

What Qualifying UPTET 2026 Means

UPTET is designed to determine whether candidates meet the teacher eligibility requirements for the applicable school level. Candidates qualifying Paper I can establish eligibility under the applicable primary-level provisions, while the relevant upper-primary paper relates to Classes 6 to 8.

Passing UPTET should not be confused with receiving a government teaching appointment. Candidates must separately apply when teacher recruitment notifications are issued and satisfy the educational qualification, age, category and other conditions of those recruitments.

The UPTET result can therefore be an important qualification for candidates planning to compete for eligible teaching opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.

Details to Check on UPTET Result

Candidates are advised to preserve both a digital and printed copy of the result for future reference. If the examination authority subsequently provides a separate certificate or additional instructions for qualified candidates, those notices should also be followed.
