UP Home Guard PET/PST Admit Card 2026 Released for 41,424 Posts, Physical Test From September 8

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the PET/PST Admit Card for the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025. The recruitment drive is being conducted for 41,424 Home Guard vacancies across Uttar Pradesh, with candidates who cleared the earlier stages now moving to the physical tests. The UP Home Guard recruitment process began in November 2025 and includes a written examination followed by merit-based shortlisting, physical tests, document verification and medical examination. The written examination was conducted on April 25, 26 and 27, 2026, while the result and final answer key were released on June 28. After DV/PST proceedings held from July 13 to August 7, shortlisted candidates are now scheduled to participate in the PET/PST from September 8 to 16, 2026. The physical test admit card was released on September 1.

UP Home Guard PET/PST Admit Card 2026

UPPRPB has made the PET/PST Admit Card available for candidates shortlisted for the physical stage of the Home Guard recruitment process. Candidates scheduled to participate between September 8 and 16 should download their admit cards in advance and carefully check the reporting time, test date, venue and instructions mentioned on them.

The admit card is an important document for entry to the physical test venue. Candidates should carry a clear printed copy along with the required photo identification and any other documents specified by the recruitment board. They should also follow the reporting and physical-test instructions mentioned in the official notice and admit card.

UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details

A total of 41,424 Home Guard vacancies are being filled through this recruitment drive. The category-wise distribution includes 16,650 vacancies for General candidates, 4,331 for EWS, 11,090 for OBC, 8,645 for SC and 808 for ST candidates.

The recruitment is being conducted across Uttar Pradesh, with vacancies distributed district-wise and category-wise. Candidates should refer to their application details and the official recruitment documents for the vacancy allocation applicable to their district and category.

UP Home Guard Recruitment Important Dates

Online applications for UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 were accepted from November 18 to December 17, 2025. The deadline for payment of the application fee was also December 17, while candidates were given an application correction window from December 18 to 21.

The written examination took place on April 25, 26 and 27, 2026. Exam city information was released on April 18 and admit cards followed on April 22. The answer key was issued on May 7, while the final answer key and written examination result were announced on June 28.

The DV/PST stage was scheduled from July 13 to August 7, with admit cards issued on July 6. The next physical stage, PET/PST, is scheduled from September 8 to 16, 2026, and the admit cards for this stage became available on September 1.

UP Home Guard Physical Standard Test

Male candidates belonging to the UR, OBC and SC categories are required to have a minimum height of 168 cm, while the prescribed chest measurement is 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm with expansion. For ST male candidates, the minimum height is 160 cm, with a chest measurement of 77–82 cm.

For female candidates belonging to UR, OBC and SC categories, the prescribed minimum height is 152 cm. ST female candidates are required to have a minimum height of 147 cm. The minimum prescribed weight for female candidates is 40 kg.

UP Home Guard Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Efficiency Test assesses candidates through a timed race. Male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-km run within 28 minutes. Female candidates are required to complete a 2.4-km run within 16 minutes.

Candidates appearing for the PET should reach their allotted venue within the reporting time stated on the admit card. Since physical performance forms an important part of the recruitment process, candidates should also carefully follow all instructions concerning clothing, documents and permitted items at the test venue.

UP Home Guard Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates applying for the Home Guard posts were required to have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. According to the recruitment conditions provided, candidates employed in government, semi-government or public sector organizations were not eligible to apply. Applicants were also required to possess their Class 10 marksheet and certificate.

The prescribed age limit was 18 to 30 years as on July 1, 2025. Eligible candidates belonging to reserved or other applicable categories may receive age relaxation according to the recruitment rules.

UP Home Guard Application Fee

General, EWS and OBC candidates were required to pay an application fee of ₹400, while SC and ST candidates were charged ₹300.

The application fee could be paid through supported online methods such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS and other available digital payment facilities.

UP Home Guard Selection Process

Selection for the 41,424 Home Guard vacancies involves several stages. Candidates first appeared in the written examination, after which qualifying candidates were shortlisted on the basis of the applicable merit criteria.

The subsequent recruitment stages include the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test and document verification. Candidates who successfully complete these requirements will also have to undergo the prescribed medical examination before final selection.
