RPSC APO Exam City Slip 2026 Released
RPSC has activated the exam city information facility for candidates appearing in the Assistant Prosecution Officer Preliminary Examination. The city slip allows applicants to know the city in which their examination centre has been allotted before the release of the actual admit card.
Candidates can use this information to make travel and accommodation arrangements ahead of the September 2 examination. Those allotted a centre outside their home city should check the information early rather than waiting for the admit card.
The city intimation slip should also be checked carefully for any incorrect candidate or examination information. In case of a discrepancy, candidates should approach RPSC through the appropriate official channel as soon as possible.
RPSC APO Admit Card 2026 Status
Candidates should clearly distinguish between the exam city slip and the APO admit card. As of August 26, the admit card for the preliminary examination has not yet been released.
The city slip provides advance information about the allotted examination city, whereas the admit card will contain the detailed examination centre, reporting information and other candidate-specific instructions. The admit card will be mandatory for admission to the examination centre.
Applicants should therefore continue checking official updates even after downloading their city slip. Once the hall ticket becomes available, it should be downloaded separately and all instructions printed on it should be read carefully.

Difference Between Exam City Slip and Admit Card
The exam city intimation slip is issued primarily to inform candidates in advance about the city where their examination centre will be located. It helps candidates plan their journey but does not replace the hall ticket.
The admit card is the essential examination document and is required for entry into the test centre. It generally contains more detailed information, including the exact venue, reporting time, roll number and examination-day instructions.
Candidates should therefore not arrive at the examination centre with only the city intimation slip. They must download the official APO admit card once RPSC makes it available.
Documents Required for RPSC APO Prelims 2026
Candidates will have to carry their RPSC APO Admit Card to the examination centre once it has been issued. An original valid photo identity document will also be required according to the examination instructions. Aadhaar is preferred, while other valid identification such as PAN card, voter ID, driving licence or passport may be used where permitted.
Candidates should also keep a passport-size photograph ready, preferably matching the photograph used during the application process, if required under the admit card instructions. Keeping a printed copy of the exam city intimation slip is also advisable for reference.
The final list of required documents and permitted items should be checked from the admit card and official examination instructions before leaving for the centre.
Can Candidates Change Their RPSC APO Exam City?
The examination city allotted by RPSC generally cannot be changed after allocation. Candidates should therefore check their city immediately and plan their travel accordingly.
If the slip contains an apparent error or discrepancy, the candidate should contact RPSC rather than independently assuming that the examination city can be modified. Requests, if any, will be handled according to the commission’s applicable rules.
RPSC APO Exam Day Instructions
Candidates should reach their examination city and venue well within the reporting schedule that will be mentioned on the admit card. Waiting until the last moment to arrange transportation can create difficulties, particularly for candidates allotted centres in another district.
Applicants must also comply with RPSC examination rules and avoid carrying prohibited material into the centre. The commission maintains strict rules against unfair means and candidates found violating examination regulations can face serious action.
Candidates should read the complete admit card instructions after its release because reporting times, entry requirements and permitted items may be specifically prescribed for the APO Preliminary Examination.
