ONGC Graduate Trainee Admit Card 2026

ONGC released the Graduate Trainee CBT admit card on August 22, 2026. A total of 52 vacancies have been announced under Advertisement No. 2/2026 (R&P). Mechanical Engineering accounts for the largest number of openings with 27 vacancies. Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Petroleum Engineering posts were required to possess a graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or Applied Petroleum Engineering with at least 60% marks. Mechanical Engineering applicants needed a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.

For Chemical Engineering vacancies, candidates were required to hold a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks, while Instrumentation Engineering applicants needed a graduate degree in Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.

For Geology posts, candidates were required to have a postgraduate degree in Geology, Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Geology, or an M.Tech degree in Geological Technology, with at least 60% marks.

ONGC Graduate Trainee Age Limit

The prescribed age limit varies according to the discipline. For UR/EWS candidates applying under the Geology stream, the age range is 21 to 27 years. For Engineering streams, the prescribed age range for UR/EWS candidates is 21 to 26 years.

The crucial date for determining the age of applicants is July 31, 2026. Candidates belonging to categories eligible for relaxation will receive upper-age relaxation according to applicable ONGC and government recruitment rules.

Salary and Benefits

Candidates selected as Graduate Trainees will be appointed at the E1 level with a pay scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000. In addition to basic pay, selected candidates may receive applicable allowances and employment benefits according to ONGC rules.
