The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has declared the LDC Result 2026 under its Group A, B and C non-teaching recruitment drive. The overall recruitment covers 173 vacancies across different pay levels, including Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts. Candidates who appeared for the LDC examination can now check their results. NCERT released the Lower Division Clerk Result 2026 on September 1, 2026, following the LDC examination conducted on May 15. The LDC answer key had earlier been issued on May 19. NCERT has announced the result for candidates who appeared in the Lower Division Clerk examination held on May 15, 2026. The result marks an important stage in the recruitment process for candidates competing for LDC positions under the Council’s non-teaching recruitment exercise.

The LDC admit cards were released on May 12, three days before the examination. NCERT subsequently published the answer key on May 19, allowing candidates to review their performance. The result has now been declared on September 1.

Candidates should carefully check the result and any accompanying NCERT notice for instructions concerning the next stage. Those shortlisted may have to participate in a skill test, document verification or other applicable recruitment formalities depending on the requirements prescribed for the LDC post.

NCERT Recruitment 2026 Important Dates

The wider NCERT recruitment examination was conducted in multiple phases because the notification covered posts at different levels. While examinations for several posts were held during March and April, the LDC examination was conducted separately on May 15.

NCERT Group A, B and C Vacancy Details

NCERT’s non-teaching recruitment drive covers a total of 173 vacancies distributed across different pay levels. Of these, 138 vacancies fall under Level 2 to Level 5, while 26 vacancies are under Level 6 to Level 8 and nine positions are under Level 10 to Level 12.

Candidates should note that 173 represents the total number of vacancies under the wider Group A, B and C recruitment and should not be interpreted as the number of LDC vacancies alone.

NCERT Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The maximum age limit for posts covered by the recruitment ranges from 27 to 50 years, depending on the position. The relevant cutoff date for determining age was February 2, 2026.

Since different Group A, B and C positions carry different age requirements, candidates should refer to the conditions prescribed for their individual posts. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to eligible categories according to NCERT and Government of India rules.

NCERT Group A, B and C Application Fee

The application fee varied according to the pay level of the post. General, OBC and EWS candidates were required to pay ₹1,500 for Level 10–12 posts, ₹1,200 for Level 6–8 posts and ₹1,000 for Level 2–5 posts. SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates were exempted from the application fee for all posts.

The prescribed fee was payable online during the application period through the available electronic payment options.

NCERT LDC Selection Process

The recruitment process includes a written examination followed by additional stages depending on the requirements of the respective post. For posts requiring specific practical abilities, candidates may have to qualify in a Skill Test. An interview may also apply to posts for which it forms part of the prescribed selection procedure.

Candidates progressing through the required examination stages will have their eligibility and original documents verified. Medical examination or other appointment formalities may also be conducted wherever prescribed by NCERT.
