NBEMS Group A, B & C Revised Exam Date 2026 Out for 53 Posts, Exam on September 15–16

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the revised examination schedule for its Group A, B and C recruitment covering 53 vacancies. The recruitment includes Junior Assistant, Stenographer, Deputy Director (Medical), Junior Programmer and Junior Accountant posts. The online application process was held from July 7 to July 31, while exam city details were made available on August 18. NBEMS Revised Exam Date 2026 Announced

NBEMS has released the revised examination date notice for candidates who applied for the 53 Group A, B and C vacancies. According to the latest schedule, the recruitment examination will take place over two days, September 15 and 16, 2026.

Candidates should check the examination date applicable to their post and carefully read the instructions issued by NBEMS. The examination schedule is particularly important for applicants who had been preparing according to an earlier timetable.

Exam city details have already been released, allowing candidates to make necessary travel arrangements before the examination. The admit card will be issued separately ahead of the test and candidates will need to download it for information such as the examination centre, reporting time and other instructions.

The recruitment drive offers 53 vacancies across five posts. Junior Assistant accounts for the largest share with 39 vacancies, followed by seven Stenographer and four Junior Accountant positions.

The posts cover administrative, clerical, accounts, technology and medical functions within NBEMS, resulting in different educational and professional requirements for each position.

Post-Wise Qualification Details

For Stenographer, candidates are required to have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination. They must possess shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and typing speed of 30 words per minute and qualify the prescribed English, shorthand and computer typing tests. Two years of relevant experience in a government, PSU or autonomous organization and proficiency in word processing are desirable.

Junior Assistant applicants require Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board or institution along with proficiency in computer operations and basic software packages. Candidates must also qualify the examination prescribed by NBEMS.

Deputy Director (Medical) applicants require a recognized postgraduate medical qualification in the relevant specialty. Training in Medical Education Technology and familiarity with modern assessment methods, including preparation of MCQs and MEQs and evaluation techniques, are desirable.

For Junior Programmer, eligible qualifications include B.Tech/BE, BCA, DOEACC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Level certification, or a recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics with specialization in computers, or an equivalent qualification.

Junior Accountant applicants require a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics or Statistics as a subject. Relevant experience in maintaining accounts and records and knowledge of computerized accounting are desirable.

NBEMS Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The minimum age for the recruitment is 18 years, while the maximum age varies between 27 and 35 years depending on the post. Candidates must satisfy the age requirement applicable to the particular position for which they applied.

Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available to eligible categories according to the recruitment rules prescribed by NBEMS and applicable Government of India norms. Candidates should refer to the official notification for their exact post-wise age requirement.

NBEMS Group A, B & C Application Fee

General, OBC and EWS candidates were required to pay an application fee of ₹1,500 plus 18% GST. SC, ST, PwD and female candidates were exempted from payment of the application fee.

The fee was accepted online during the application period through the payment options made available on the recruitment portal.

NBEMS Group A, B & C Selection Process

The selection procedure includes Paper-I and Paper-II, followed by preparation of the final merit list in accordance with the recruitment rules. Candidates must satisfy the requirements applicable to their respective posts at every stage.
