KVS NVS Tier-II Result 2026 Released for 15,762 Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan (NVS) have announced the Tier-II Result 2026 for the combined teaching and non-teaching recruitment covering 15,762 vacancies. The recruitment includes PGT, TGT, PRT, Principal, Vice-Principal, Assistant Commissioner, Librarian and several non-teaching positions. The KVS NVS Tier-II Result 2026 was released on August 17 following the second-stage examination conducted from March 27 to March 31, 2026. The recruitment process originally began with online applications from November 14 to December 11, 2025. The first-stage examination was held on January 10 and 11, followed by the Tier-II examination in March. Candidates shortlisted through the latest result will have to follow the post-specific selection requirements prescribed by KVS and NVS.

KVS NVS Tier-II Result 2026 Declared

Candidates who participated in the second stage of the KVS and NVS recruitment examination can now check the Tier-II result. The result marks an important stage in one of the larger central school recruitment drives, covering more than 15,000 teaching and non-teaching vacancies.

The Tier-II examination was conducted from March 27 to March 31. Examination city information had been released on March 10, followed by Tier-II admit cards on March 23. The Tier-II answer key was subsequently issued on May 13, 2026, before the result was announced on August 17.

Candidates shortlisted through Tier-II should carefully check the instructions applicable to their respective posts. Depending on the position, further stages may include a skill test, document verification and medical examination.

KVS NVS Recruitment 2026 Important Dates

The online application process started on November 14, 2025 and closed on December 11. Candidates were given an application correction window from December 13 to December 15, 2025.

The first-stage examination was conducted on January 10 and 11, 2026. Exam city information was released on December 26, while admit cards became available on January 8. The answer key was released on January 31 and the first-stage result was declared on February 28.

The Tier-II examination followed from March 27 to March 31, with its answer key released on May 13. The Tier-II result has now been declared on August 17, 2026.

The recruitment drive covers 15,762 posts across KVS and NVS. Teaching positions account for a major share of the vacancies, including 3,630 Primary Teacher posts in KVS, 3,069 TGT posts in KVS and 2,978 TGT posts in NVS.

Major Teaching Vacancies in KVS and NVS

Primary Teacher, TGT and PGT positions make up the majority of vacancies under the recruitment. KVS has 3,630 PRT vacancies along with 3,069 TGT and 1,606 PGT posts. NVS has 2,978 regular TGT vacancies and 1,513 PGT positions.

NVS recruitment additionally includes 443 TGT posts for third languages, 18 PGT vacancies for Modern Indian Languages and separate Physical Education vacancies for PGT and TGT levels.

The recruitment also covers senior academic and administrative posts, including 161 Principal vacancies, 69 KVS Vice-Principal posts and a combined 22 Assistant Commissioner vacancies across KVS and NVS.

KVS NVS Non-Teaching Vacancies

Apart from teaching positions, the recruitment includes 807 non-teaching vacancies in KVS and 787 in NVS. Posts covered under the broader recruitment include administrative and support positions with different educational and professional requirements.

Candidates who applied for non-teaching positions should check the eligibility and selection procedure prescribed specifically for their post, as skill tests or other qualifying stages may apply to certain positions.

KVS NVS Teaching and Non-Teaching Eligibility

Educational qualifications vary considerably because the recruitment covers posts ranging from support-level positions to teachers and senior administrative roles.

Depending on the post, candidates were required to have passed Class 10, Class 12, Graduation or Post Graduation from a recognized institution or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the government. Teaching positions also carry post-specific academic, professional and teacher-training requirements.

Candidates shortlisted in Tier-II should ensure that they possess the exact qualification required for their selected post. Educational qualifications and other claims made during the application process will be checked during document verification.

KVS NVS Age Limit

The minimum age mentioned for the recruitment is 18 years, while the maximum age varies by post and ranges from 27 years to 50 years.

Since the recruitment includes posts at different levels, candidates should refer to the age requirement applicable specifically to their position. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to eligible categories according to the applicable KVS/NVS and government recruitment rules.

KVS NVS Recruitment Application Fee

For Assistant Commissioner, Principal and Vice-Principal posts, General, OBC and EWS candidates were required to pay ₹2,800, while the fee for SC, ST, PH and ESM candidates was ₹500.

For PGT, TGT, PRT, Assistant Engineer, Finance Officer, Administrative Officer, Librarian, ASO and Junior Translator posts, the fee was ₹2,000 for General, OBC and EWS candidates and ₹500 for SC, ST, PH and ESM applicants.

For SSA, Stenographer, JSA, Lab Attendant and Multi-Tasking Staff positions, General, OBC and EWS candidates were required to pay ₹1,700, while SC, ST, PH and ESM candidates were required to pay ₹500.

The prescribed fee could be submitted through supported online payment options, including debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS and mobile wallet facilities.

KVS NVS Selection Process

The recruitment process includes written examinations followed by other stages according to the post. A skill test may be conducted for positions where it forms part of the prescribed selection procedure.

Candidates shortlisted after the applicable examination stages will have to undergo document verification. At this stage, original educational certificates, category documents, identity proof and other records supporting information submitted in the application may be checked.

The recruitment process also includes medical examination as applicable. Final selection will depend on candidates successfully completing all stages required for their respective posts.
