CBSE has started releasing the Tier-II results for candidates who participated in the KVS and NVS recruitment examination. The Tier-II written tests were conducted over five days from March 27 to March 31, 2026.
The result process covers a large number of teaching and non-teaching disciplines. Candidates should therefore check the result applicable specifically to the post and subject for which they appeared rather than relying on a general result list.
According to the recruitment update, the evaluation exercise covers more than 2.1 lakh descriptive answer books across 68 disciplines. With evaluation and result processing taking place across a large number of subjects, candidates should also watch for post-wise or phased result announcements.

KVS NVS Teaching and Non-Teaching Vacancies
The recruitment exercise covers more than 15,000 teaching and non-teaching positions. Vacancies are spread across different levels and disciplines in KVS and NVS.
Teaching recruitment includes posts at different academic levels, while the recruitment exercise also covers various administrative and support positions. Educational qualification, experience, age requirements and selection stages therefore vary according to the post.
Candidates should refer to the detailed recruitment notification for the exact vacancy distribution applicable to their post, category and organization.
KVS NVS Educational Qualification
There is no single educational qualification applicable to all posts because the recruitment includes a wide range of teaching and non-teaching positions.
Depending on the post, candidates were required to possess the prescribed school-level, undergraduate, postgraduate, professional or teacher-training qualification. Certain teaching positions may also require specific subject combinations and professional teaching qualifications.
Candidates included in the Tier-II result should ensure that all qualifications claimed in their application can be supported with valid original certificates during document verification.
KVS NVS Age Limit
The age requirement varies according to the post under the recruitment notification. The stated cut-off date for determining age eligibility is December 4, 2025.
Upper-age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories in accordance with the prescribed recruitment rules. Candidates moving to the next stage should verify the exact age criteria applicable to their post and keep the necessary category or relaxation certificates ready.
KVS NVS Tier-II Evaluation
The Tier-II stage is particularly significant because of the scale of descriptive evaluation involved. More than 2.1 lakh descriptive answer books covering 68 disciplines are reported to be part of the evaluation exercise.
Candidates’ performance is assessed according to the official evaluation parameters applicable to their post and discipline. Merit and shortlisting will consequently depend on the prescribed recruitment criteria rather than merely appearing in the Tier-II examination.
Candidates should check the official result and score-related information for their individual post to understand their status in the recruitment process.
KVS NVS Selection Process
The recruitment process begins with Tier-I and Tier-II written examinations. Candidates clearing the required examination stages may have to appear for a skill test or interview where these form part of the selection criteria for the concerned post.
Shortlisted candidates will subsequently undergo document verification, during which their academic qualifications, category, age and other eligibility claims will be checked against original records.
A medical examination may also form part of the final recruitment process. The exact sequence of stages can vary depending on the teaching or non-teaching post.
