The Department of Higher Education has published the first final merit list for PG admissions on August 24. The list has been prepared following the completion of the online application and document verification stages under the revised admission schedule for the 2026-27 session.
Candidates who registered for postgraduate courses should log in to the Haryana Higher Education admission portal and check their admission status. Those allotted a seat in the first counselling round must complete the prescribed fee payment within the given period to secure their admission.
Before the final list, a provisional merit list was scheduled for August 23, 2026. The final first merit list has now been issued on August 24, allowing selected students to proceed with fee submission.

What Selected Candidates Need to Do After Merit List

Students whose names or admission status appears in the first merit list will have to complete the fee payment process between August 25 and August 27, 2026. Payment within the prescribed period is an important part of confirming the allotted admission.
Candidates should carefully check the college and course allotted to them through the admission portal before proceeding with payment. Once the applicable admission fee has been successfully deposited, students can download their fee receipt from the portal and retain it as a record of their admission.

Haryana PG Admission Registration and Verification Process

Online registration for Haryana PG Admission 2026-27 began on July 17 and continued until August 21, 2026. Applicants were also provided an opportunity to edit their submitted forms using OTP-based verification. The editing facility remained available from July 18 to August 22.
Online document verification was conducted from July 18 through August 23, 2026. During this stage, the concerned colleges were responsible for verifying information and documents submitted by applicants.

Physical Counselling for Vacant PG Seats

The admission process will continue even after completion of the first merit list and fee payment round. According to the revised schedule, physical counselling for seats left vacant after the first counselling will take place on August 28, 2026.
The online admission portal is scheduled to reopen on August 29 for the subsequent admission process. This will provide another opportunity for admission against seats that remain available after the initial merit-based allotment.
Physical counselling with a late fee of ₹100 is scheduled from August 30 to September 5, 2026. Candidates seeking admission during this stage will have to follow the applicable counselling requirements and pay the prescribed late fee.

The department has also provided an additional period for filling vacant seats after September 5. Physical counselling will continue from September 6 to September 12, 2026 with an increased late-fee provision.
During this period, the applicable late fee will be ₹100 along with an additional ₹100 for each day, as prescribed in the revised schedule. Students who are unable to secure admission during the earlier rounds should therefore keep track of vacant seats and counselling announcements issued by their preferred colleges.
