BPSSC declared the ASI Operation Preliminary Examination Result 2026 on August 12, 2026. The preliminary written examination was conducted on July 22, 2026, for recruitment to 462 Assistant Sub-Inspector (Operation) posts. BPSSC ASI Operation Merit List 2026

BPSSC has published the preliminary examination result in PDF format. The result contains the roll numbers of candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary stage and have been shortlisted for the Main Written Examination.

Candidates who appeared for the July 22 examination should download the official result PDF and search for their roll number. A total of 6,748 candidates have qualified, while their further participation in the recruitment process will depend on performance in the upcoming stages.

Candidates should retain a copy of the result for reference and continue following BPSSC notifications for information about the Main examination.

BPSSC ASI Operation Cut Off 2026

BPSSC has also provided category-wise cut-off marks for the preliminary examination. Candidates were required to obtain at least 30% marks to be considered in the preliminary stage. Where applicable, date of birth was used as the tie-breaking criterion.

For male candidates, the cut-off was 41.2 for UR/General, 36.4 for EWS, 31.6 for SC, 30.4 for ST, 37.4 for EBC and 38.8 for BC candidates.

Among female candidates, the UR/General cut-off was 30.0.

For male candidates under the Freedom Fighter Ward category, the cut-off stood at 34.0 for UR/General, 30.6 for EWS, 30.2 for EBC and 30.4 for BC. For female candidates under the Freedom Fighter Ward category, the EWS cut-off was 35.2.

What Happens After BPSSC ASI Operation Prelims Result?

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the preliminary result have qualified to participate in the Main Written Examination. Clearing the preliminary examination does not constitute final selection, as candidates must complete the remaining stages prescribed by BPSSC.

The commission has not yet announced the date of the Main Written Examination. Qualified candidates should therefore regularly check official notices for the examination schedule and availability of admit cards.
