Manipur PSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026: Apply for 419 Posts Across Various Subjects

The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced the recruitment of 419 Assistant Professor posts under the Higher Education Department, Government of Manipur. This recruitment drive is aimed at hiring eligible and qualified candidates in multiple subjects for teaching positions in government colleges across the state. Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject along with NET/SLET/SET qualification or a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations. The application process will be conducted online only through the official EMPSCONLINE portal from 15th December 2025 to 19th January 2026. This is a direct recruitment with selection based on personal interview and document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). In addition, they must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET). Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET.

Age Limit

As on 19 January 2026:

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years
  Relaxations:
• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years (cumulative where applicable)
  Note: No relaxation for SC/ST/OBC if no reservation is available in the post.

Salary

The pay scale is as per pre-revised norms:
Pay Band ₹15,600 – ₹39,100 + Academic Grade Pay ₹6,000
