The Insurance Institute of India (III), a premier institution for insurance education and training, has invited applications for the recruitment of Faculty Members (General Insurance) at its College of Insurance. The recruitment includes both contractual and permanent positions for locations in Mumbai and Kolkata. A total of 04 posts have been announced, comprising 3 contractual faculty positions (2 in Mumbai and 1 in Kolkata) and 1 permanent Assistant Professor post in Mumbai. Candidates with extensive experience in insurance, academic qualifications as per UGC norms, and relevant professional credentials are encouraged to apply before the deadline.

Education

For Contractual Faculty (Kolkata & Mumbai)

• Postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university
• Associate or Fellowship from the Insurance Institute of India (or equivalent)
• Minimum 15 years of managerial-level experience in General Insurance
• Preference to retired DGM or higher officers from PSU/GIC/private insurers
• Must have good academic record and teaching aptitude

For Assistant Professor (Permanent, Mumbai)

• Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks
• Ph.D. in Business Management or Social Science
• UGC NET/SET qualified or exempted
• Experience in teaching or General Insurance preferred
• Associate/Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India is desirable

Salary

• Contractual Faculty: ₹1,50,000 per month, renewable yearly for up to 3 years or till 65 years
• Assistant Professor: As per UGC pay scale with allowances, tenure till 60 years of age

Age Limit

• Contractual Faculty: 55 to 62 years (as on 31 December 2025)
• Assistant Professor: 35 to 55 years (as on 31 December 2025)
