Indian Army TGC 143 Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for Engineering Stream Posts by 6th November 2025

The Indian Army has officially announced the recruitment for the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (TGC-143), inviting applications from unmarried male engineering graduates for Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. This prestigious opportunity is open to candidates from various engineering disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science, with the course scheduled to commence in July 2026 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. The Indian Army TGC 143 recruitment aims to induct technically skilled officers who will contribute to the modernisation and operational readiness of the Indian Army. Candidates currently in the final year of their engineering degree or those who have already completed their graduation are eligible to apply. Education Qualification

• Candidates should have passed or be in the final year of their Engineering degree.
• Final year students must produce the degree certificate within 12 weeks of course commencement at IMA.
• Such candidates will be inducted provisionally with an additional bond for training costs recovery if they fail to submit the degree in time.

Age Limit

• 20 to 27 years as on 01 July 2026
• Candidates born between 2nd July 1999 and 1st July 2006 (both inclusive) are eligible.
• Age relaxation as per Indian Army rules.

Physical Standards

• Height: Minimum 157.5 cm (Relaxable by 5 cm for NE/Assam/Gorkhas/Garhwalis/Nepalese; 2 cm for Lakshadweep)
• Must be medically fit with no disability.
• Fitness benchmarks (recommended before joining IMA):
  • Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes
  • 13 Push-ups
  • 25 Sit-ups
  • 6 Chin-ups
  • Rope Climbing (3-4 meters)

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of Applications: Based on engineering discipline and cut-off percentage
2. SSB Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called to Allahabad, Bhopal, or Bangalore
   • Stage I: Screening
   • Stage II: Psychology Test, GTO, and Personal Interview
   • Only those who clear Stage I proceed to Stage II
3. Medical Examination for recommended candidates
4. Final Merit List based on SSB performance
