Education
Applicants must have a graduate degree from a recognized university. Those applying from the government sector should have at least 5 years of regular service at Level-11 or above (as per 7th CPC). Candidates from the private sector should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Art, Culture, Management, or Public Administration. Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of a foreign language is highly desirable. Background or interest in Art, Culture, Literature, or Indian Knowledge systems will be an added advantage.
Salary
Selected candidates deployed as Directors will receive a Foreign Compensatory Allowance (FCA) estimated at ₹4 to ₹5 lakhs per month, along with other government benefits applicable to international postings.
Age Limit
Candidates must be under the age of 55 years as on 2nd February 2026.

Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an in-person interview or presentation at ICCR Headquarters, New Delhi.
- In exceptional cases, a virtual interview may be allowed.
- Based on merit, candidates will be empanelled in order of ranking.
- The empanelment is valid for 3 years but does not guarantee a posting.
- Deployment is subject to Police Verification, Vigilance Clearance, Service Record Verification, and training requirements.
- Final decision regarding deployment rests solely with ICCR.
