The Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC), functioning under the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Government of Goa, has announced Advertisement No. 1 of 2025 for the recruitment of 118 Assistant Teacher posts across various subjects including English, Hindi/Konkani/Marathi/Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. GSSC Assistant Teacher Vacancy 2025: List

Eligibility criteria and requirement

Candidates must be Indian citizens and residents of Goa with a maximum age of 45 years as of 15th July 2025. Age relaxations will be applicable as per government rules for reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and Ex-servicemen.

Education

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (or 45% in some cases) and a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized institution. Alternatively, candidates may have a four-year integrated B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. degree. Additionally, a valid Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certificate recognized by the Government of Goa and knowledge of Konkani language is mandatory.

Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Matrix Level-7, with a salary range of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month as per the 7th Central Pay Commission along with applicable government allowances.
