Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation (CGEWHO), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, has invited applications for the post of Deputy Director (Finance). This vacancy is to be filled either on deputation basis from eligible government officers or through direct recruitment for professionally qualified candidates. The post carries a high responsibility in financial oversight and management of housing projects for central government employees. It is a great opportunity for experienced finance professionals with a background in Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accounting, or MBA (Finance) and relevant government service exposure.

The appointment will be made at Level 13 of the 7th Pay Commission scale. Those applying via deputation must be working in equivalent or lower levels in central government departments, PSUs, or autonomous bodies, while candidates applying through direct recruitment must meet the professional qualification and experience requirements. The last date for receipt of applications by post is 2nd March 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

For Direct Recruitment:

• Associate/Fellow Member of ICAI or ICMAI or MBA (Finance) from a recognized university/institute.
• Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Pay Level 12 or above in a government/reputed organization, preferably in construction/housing sector.

For Deputation:

• Officers from Central Government/Subordinate Offices/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs.
• Holding an analogous post in Level 13 OR
• Minimum 5 years’ service in Level 12 OR
• Minimum 10 years’ service in Level 11.
• Must possess same educational qualification as required for direct recruitment.

Salary

• Pay Level 13 as per 7th CPC: Rs. 1,23,100 – Rs. 2,15,900 per month

Age Limit

• For Deputation: Maximum 56 years
• For Direct Recruitment: Maximum 48 years
