The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has announced its latest recruitment drive for 2025 through Advertisement No. 02/2025. As part of this drive, the BRO invites offline applications from male Indian citizens for the recruitment of Multi Skilled Workers (MSW – Painter and Mess Waiter (DES)) and Vehicle Mechanics. A total of 542 vacancies have been announced, including current and backlog posts, for deployment in the General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF). Applicants must meet the required physical, educational, and trade standards prescribed by BRO. Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Vehicle Mechanic: Matriculation from a recognized Board + Certificate in relevant trade from ITI/ITC/NCTC or equivalent + Proficiency in trade test.
• MSW (Painter / DES): Matriculation from a recognized Board + Proficiency test in trade.
• All candidates must meet physical and medical standards prescribed by BRO.

Salary

• Vehicle Mechanic: Pay Level 2 (₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200)
• MSW (Painter/DES): Pay Level 1 (₹ 18,000 – ₹ 56,900)

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Relaxations:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen & others: As per Govt. rules
