Akashvani Pune Recruitment 2026 For Casual News Reader And Translator Posts | Last Date: 25th February 2026

Prasar Bharati under its regional broadcasting unit Akashvani, Regional News Unit (RNU), Pune has released an official notification for engagement of Casual News Reader and Translator (Marathi). The engagement will be on a casual and on-demand basis, subject to organizational requirements. Assignments will not exceed 6 per month and 72 per year. Salary

The engagement is on a casual assignment basis. Payment will be made per assignment as per Prasar Bharati norms. Candidates may receive up to 6 assignments per month and not more than 72 assignments per year.

Age Limit

The age limit is 21 to 50 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

SC and ST candidates must submit a Demand Draft of ₹266.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of two stages.

Stage 1 is a written test of 100 marks. The written examination will assess journalistic ability, professional capability, and translation skills from Marathi to English and English to Marathi. Candidates must secure at least 50 marks to qualify.

Stage 2 is an interview of 100 marks. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for a personal interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in written test and interview.
