University of Mumbai Faculty Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 152 Posts Before 3rd December

The University of Mumbai, one of India’s premier institutions, has announced recruitment for 152 Government-aided Faculty positions through Advertisement No. AAQA/ICD/2024-25/616. This recruitment includes posts of Deans of Faculties, Professors, Associate Professors (including Deputy Librarians), and Assistant Professors (including Assistant Librarians) in various disciplines. The University is inviting fresh applications from eligible candidates, even from those who applied earlier (they must reapply but do not need to repay the fee). This hiring drive follows UGC norms, offering excellent pay and academic prospects under the 7th Pay Commission. The application process closes on 3rd December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA)
• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (except Assistant Professors where NET/SET/Ph.D. allowed)
• Minimum experience:
  • Professor: 10 years
  • Associate Professor: 8 years
  • Assistant Professor: As per UGC regulations
• Knowledge of Marathi is desirable

Salary

• As per UGC 7th Pay Commission

Age Limit

• As per UGC norms (no upper age limit mentioned)
• Relaxation for reserved categories as per GoI rules
