The Technician (Electrical) experience should include work as an Electrician in areas such as substations, HT/LT systems or equipment maintenance.
For Store Keeper, eligible Diploma disciplines include Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Marine and Shipbuilding, subject to the prescribed experience requirement.
UCSL Workmen Salary and Age Limit
The maximum age for Workmen posts is 30 years as on September 1, 2026, subject to relaxation according to Government guidelines.
The gross monthly pay ranges from ₹25,000 to ₹29,520 depending on the applicable contractual year and engagement conditions.
PwBD candidates can apply for all Workmen posts except Technician (Electrical), subject to the disability categories and suitability conditions specified in the notification.
UCSL Educational Qualification and Experience Rules
All educational qualifications should be obtained from institutions recognized by AICTE, the appropriate statutory authority, or the Central or State Government.
Candidates possessing qualifications considered equivalent to those prescribed should produce a valid Equivalency Certificate from the competent authority.
Post-qualification experience will be calculated as on September 1, 2026. Experience certificates should clearly mention the dates of employment and nature of duties performed.

For Workmen posts, selection will involve an Objective Test and a Descriptive or Practical Test as applicable to the particular position.
