TNEB Field Assistant Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 1790+ Vacancies

Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), under Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), has officially announced the recruitment of 1794 Field Assistant vacancies through the Combined Technical Services Examination (ITI Level) – II. While the recruitment process will be conducted via the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) portal, the appointments will be made directly under TNEB. This is a golden opportunity for candidates holding an ITI qualification in Electrician, Wireman, or Electrical Trade. Candidates with adequate Tamil knowledge are eligible to apply. The selection will be made through a written examination, physical test, and document verification. The last date to apply online is 2nd October 2025.

TNEB Field Assistants Recruitment Details

Salary

Field Assistants will receive a monthly salary in the range of ₹18,800 – ₹59,900 under Level 2, Consolidated Pay Structure (CPS).

Age Limit

As of 03/09/2025:

• General Category: 18 to 32 years
• Destitute Widow: Up to 37 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Up to 42 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years
  Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

• One-Time Registration Fee: ₹150/-
• Payment Mode: Online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Written Examination
   • Paper I: Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability
   • Paper II: Trade-specific paper (Electrician/Wireman)
2. Physical Test
3. Document Verification

1. Visit the TNPSC online application portal.
2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) by paying ₹150/-.
3. Log in using the OTR credentials.
4. Fill in all required personal, educational, and trade-related details.
5. Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents including ITI certificate and proof of Tamil knowledge.
6. Pay the application fee through the available online payment options.
7. Submit the application before 02/10/2025 (11:59 PM).
8. Use the application correction window from 06/10/2025 to 08/10/2025 if required.
