Siddha Medicinal Plants Garden Mettur Dam Recruitment 2026: Junior Research Fellow Botany Vacancy Announced

Siddha Medicinal Plants Garden (SMPG), located at Mettur Dam under the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for the post of Junior Research Fellow (Botany). This vacancy is associated with the IMR Project focused on creating a DNA barcode library of medicinal plants used in the Siddha system of medicine. The recruitment is to be done via a walk-in interview. Interested candidates must submit their applications by email before 2nd February 2026. Vacancy and Education

Eligibility Criteria

Education

Candidates must have a First Class M.Sc. degree in Botany from a recognized university. A minimum of one year of research experience in Taxonomy is mandatory.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive Rs. 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation in age will be provided as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.
