The Siddha Central Research Institute (SCRI), functioning under the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive for three contractual positions. This recruitment targets candidates with academic and research backgrounds in Computer Science, Biotechnology, and Botany. The selection process does not involve a written examination; instead, it will be based on qualifications, experience, and interview performance. All applications must be submitted via email in the prescribed format before the due date of 15 February 2026. The place of posting for all selected candidates will be SCRI, Chennai.

Ph.D. or PG in Computer Science/IT/AI for RA; M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Botany for SRF; PG in Botany for Project Associate. Research experience required as per post

PG in Botany + Research Experience Desirable
Education
Research Associate: Ph.D. in relevant field with PG in Computer Science/AI/ML and at least 3 years of post-PG experience. Must have published research in indexed journals.
SRF: M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology with Ph.D. or 3 years experience in molecular biology techniques including DNA Barcoding and bioinformatics.
Project Associate: PG in Botany with desirable fieldwork and molecular research skills.
Salary
Research Associate (Computer Science): Rs. 58,000/- + 30% HRA per month
Senior Research Fellow (Biotechnology): Rs. 42,000/- + 30% HRA per month
Project Associate (Botany):
Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (if qualified via NET/GATE)
Rs. 25,000/- + HRA (for others)
Age Limit
Research Associate: Up to 40 years
Senior Research Fellow: Up to 32 years
Project Associate: Up to 35 years
Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government norms.
