The recruitment under Advertisement No. SSSBP/1006/MO/RECT/2026 includes PGT, TGT, PEM/PTI-Cum-Matron, Art Master, Lab Assistant and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts.

Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification

Educational requirements differ substantially between the teaching and support positions. Candidates should ensure that their qualification corresponds to the particular subject and post for which they apply.

PGT Posts

Applicants for PGT positions must possess an NCTE-recognized integrated postgraduate course with at least 50% marks, or a master’s degree in the concerned subject with 50% marks along with B.Ed with 50% marks. A four-year integrated degree incorporating a B.Ed component with the prescribed marks is also accepted as specified.

Candidates must have proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English medium.

TGT Posts

TGT applicants need a four-year NCTE-recognized integrated degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject, including the B.Ed component, or a bachelor’s/honours degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject along with B.Ed with 50% marks.

Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English medium is required.

PEM/PTI-Cum-Matron

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a Diploma in Physical Education. The vacancy is for female candidates only.

Art Master

The prescribed qualification is a four-year integrated NCTE-recognized degree with 50% marks or a bachelor’s degree in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Art or Fine Arts with 50% marks along with B.Ed with 50% marks. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium is required.

Lab Assistant (Biology)

Applicants must have passed Intermediate Science (10+2) or an equivalent examination with Biology as the concerned subject. Proficiency in English-medium teaching is also required.

Lower Division Clerk

Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10. The prescribed typing speed is 40 words per minute in English or 35 words per minute in Hindi using MS Word/online tools. Knowledge of shorthand and the ability to correspond in Hindi and English are also required.

Application Fee

The recruitment fee must be paid online according to the procedure specified in the notification, even though the recruitment application itself is submitted offline. Candidates need to attach proof of fee payment with their application.

The application fee is non-refundable.

Age Limit

The age limit is to be determined as on August 31, 2026. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as specified in the recruitment details.

Candidates should also note that Sainik School Sambalpur is not a State or Central Government organization.

Selection Process

The selection procedure varies according to the nature of the post. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements may first be called for an examination/written test.
