Highlights of Central Government Recruitments in Volume 40
The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology announced 02 Manager posts open to candidates across India, with the last date set as January 26, 2026. Academic and healthcare-related vacancies were released by the National Institute of Ayurveda for 03 various posts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, closing on February 06, 2026. Daulat Ram College under the University of Delhi invited applications for 01 Section Officer post in New Delhi, with a January 15 deadline.
Defence and strategic institutions were active this week, with the Defence Innovation Organisation advertising 02 various posts in New Delhi and the Indian Army DGEME announcing 07 various posts under its technical group across India. Research roles were also notified by multiple DRDO laboratories including Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow posts at DYSL-QT Pune, PXE Balasore and DYSL-AI Bengaluru.
Several IITs and IIITs released major academic and non-teaching recruitments. Faculty posts were announced by the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, while non-teaching vacancies were notified by the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu for 27 posts. IIITDM Kurnool issued two separate notifications for 01 Registrar post and 10 Faculty posts at its Andhra Pradesh campus.
Defence services recruitment during this week also included 44 posts under the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme announced by the Indian Navy, drawing strong interest from engineering aspirants. Sports-based recruitment was seen in the Border Security Force and Sainik School Sambalpur, which advertised 13 posts including LDC, PGT, TGT and other roles.
Administrative and finance-related positions were released by statutory bodies such as the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for Accounts Officer and Accountant posts, the Indian Council of Historical Research for Member Secretary, and the National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India for 26 posts including Hindi Officer, Tax Consultant and Deputy Manager.
Young Professional and project-based opportunities were announced by several institutions including the Inland Waterways Authority of India, National River Conservation Directorate, BISAG-N, ICAR-NBPGR and the National Test House, collectively accounting for a significant share of early-career contractual roles.
Public sector undertakings also released multiple vacancies. These included 05 managerial posts at Engineers India Limited, 25 officer posts at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited, executive-level posts at Ordnance Factory Ambajhari and Katni, and technical roles at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and RITES Limited.
Higher education institutions such as the Central University of Kerala and Central University of Bihar advertised both faculty and non-teaching positions, while medical teaching posts were released by the AIIMS Bhubaneswar for 18 Assistant Professor vacancies. Research-focused institutions like BRIC-inStem Bengaluru and BIRAC New Delhi added scientific and leadership-level roles to this week’s listings.
