Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must be not more than 35 years of age as of 21 July 2025. Age relaxation applies as per Government of India norms: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwD.
Education
Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree or B.Tech in one of the following or equivalent fields: Seismology, Geophysics, Geology, Earth Science, Marine Geology, Physical Oceanography, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Climate Sciences, Physics, or Civil Engineering. A minimum of 60% marks from a recognized institution is required.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹56,000 plus HRA. Additionally, a 5% increment will be awarded every two years based on satisfactory performance.

Maximum age: 35 years (as of 21/07/2025)
Relaxation: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwD – 10 years
