The Nainital Bank Limited has opened online applications for 41 Specialist Officer posts in Grade/Scale-I, II and III on a regular basis. The recruitment covers 14 post categories, including Risk Officer, HR Officer, IT Officer, Data Scientist/Analyst, Manager-Credit, Manager-Law and several Senior Manager positions.

Candidates can submit applications from August 15 to September 7, 2026. Depending on the position, applicants need relevant Graduate, Postgraduate or professional qualifications along with the prescribed post-qualification experience. The basic pay scales range from ₹48,480–₹85,920 for Scale-I to ₹85,920–₹1,05,280 for Scale-III.

Nainital Bank operates a network of 178 branches across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. Candidates selected through the recruitment process will be appointed as regular officers in the applicable grade/scale.

The 41 vacancies are spread across technical, banking, legal, risk management, security and other specialist functions.

The age limits are calculated as on August 1, 2026.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Eligibility varies significantly across the Specialist Officer posts, and candidates should check the detailed notification for the qualification applicable to their chosen position.

For Scale-I positions covering Risk, HR, IT, Data Science/Analytics and Civil Engineering/Architecture, candidates require the relevant full-time Graduate or Postgraduate qualification, with a minimum of 60% marks where prescribed. One year of relevant experience in banks, NBFCs, financial institutions or fintech organizations is desirable for applicable positions.

Scale-II Manager posts require the relevant Graduate, Postgraduate or professional qualification, such as MBA in Finance, LLB or Company Secretary qualification depending on the position. These posts generally require three to five years of relevant post-qualification experience as prescribed. Manager-Security Officer has separate experience requirements connected with service in the Armed Forces or paramilitary organizations.

Scale-III Senior Manager positions in Credit, Forex, Treasury and Law require the corresponding Graduate/Postgraduate or professional qualifications along with at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience, as applicable to the post.

Qualifications and experience are reckoned as on August 1, 2026. Relevant professional certifications such as FRM, CFA and IIBF certifications are preferred for certain positions where specified.

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Salary

Selected candidates will receive basic pay according to their respective officer scale.

In addition to basic pay, appointed officers will be eligible for DA, HRA and other allowances and benefits according to Nainital Bank rules.

Selection Process

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer selection will consist of two stages:

1. Online Examination
2. Personal Interview

Final selection will be determined based on candidates’ performance in the online examination and personal interview.

Nainital Bank SO Exam Pattern 2026

The online examination will contain 200 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. Candidates will have 145 minutes to complete the examination.

The examination will be conducted in English. Each question will have five options, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
