Eligibility Criteria

Education & Experience

• Executive Engineer (Civil):
  Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. 5 years’ experience in executive cadre, preferably in port/marine structures.
• Trainee Pilot:
  Certificate of Competency as Master of a foreign going ship issued/recognized by DG Shipping, with 1-year post-qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer.
• Dy. Chief Engineer:
  Civil Engineering degree with 12 years’ experience in construction/design/maintenance in government or industry sectors.
• Sr. Dy. Secretary:
  Degree from recognized university with 12 years of administrative experience. PG diploma in IR, Social Work, Law, or similar subjects preferred.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

• Executive Engineer (Civil): 35 years
• Trainee Pilot: 40 years
• Dy. Chief Engineer / Sr. Dy. Secretary: 42 years
  (Relaxation as per GoI rules)

Salary

• Executive Engineer (Civil): Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 (IDA)
• Trainee Pilot: Rs. 70,000 – 2,00,000 (IDA)
• Dy. Chief Engineer / Sr. Dy. Secretary: Rs. 80,000 – 2,20,000 (IDA)

Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), located in South Goa, has announced the recruitment of 84 Apprentice positions for the year 2025. The apprenticeship opportunities are available in multiple trades including Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Welder, Fitter, and others, as well as for Engineering Graduate and Diploma holders. Candidates holding 10th with ITI, Diploma, or Engineering degrees in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply for the training program. This recruitment is part of MPA’s initiative to offer skill development opportunities and promote youth employment in technical fields.
