Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU), Karnal, established under Haryana Act No. 32 of 2016, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 inviting applications for Officers and Teaching Faculty posts on regular and tenurial basis. The recruitment includes prestigious academic and administrative positions such as Director of Research, Dean, Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor across various disciplines of Horticulture and Agriculture. This is a direct recruitment process based on screening of applications and interview without any written examination. Candidates possessing Doctoral degrees and relevant teaching/research experience as per UGC and university norms are eligible to apply. Salary
- Director / Dean / Professor: Academic Level 14 (₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200)
- Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A (₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100)
- Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 (₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400)
Allowances and benefits admissible as per Haryana Government and University norms.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Age and qualification shall be determined as on 12 March 2026. Reservation benefits are applicable only to Haryana domicile candidates as per State Government rules.
Application Fee
- UR / ESM / ESP: ₹1200/-
- Female (UR – Haryana Only): ₹600/-
- SC / BC-A / BC-B / EWS (Haryana Only): ₹300/-
- PwBD (Haryana Only): Nil
Fee must be paid online in the specified Bank of Baroda account. Separate fee required for each post. Fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
- Screening of Applications based on eligibility and scorecard criteria
- Shortlisting (Maximum 15 candidates per post; additional 5 per additional post)

In case of tie in merit, elder candidate will be given preference.
