LGBRIMH Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in Interview for Nurses & Medical Officers and Other Posts

Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur, Assam, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has issued a recruitment notification for Medical Officer and Staff Nurse posts under the Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) scheme. This recruitment is purely on a contractual basis for a period of one year and will be filled through a Walk-in-Interview process. A total of 2 vacancies are announced, offering opportunities for medical and nursing professionals with relevant qualifications. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For the Medical Officer post, candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized institute, while an MD or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry will be preferred. For the Staff Nurse post, ANM qualification is essential, with preference given to candidates holding GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualifications.

Salary

The selected Medical Officer will receive a fixed consolidated pay of ₹60,000 per month, while the Staff Nurse post carries a fixed consolidated pay of ₹20,000 per month.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the Medical Officer post is 62 years, and for the Staff Nurse post, it is 43 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government norms.

There is no application fee for this recruitment. The selection is based purely on walk-in-interview.

Selection Process

The selection process includes email registration of scanned documents, followed by a walk-in-interview and verification of original documents. The final selection decision will be taken by the selection committee and will be binding.
