IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Notification Issued for Graduate Engineer, Officer and Diploma Engineer Posts, Apply Online by September 3

• IOCL is accepting online applications for Executive posts in Grade A, A0 and E0 across engineering, marketing, law and quality control disciplines.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has opened the application process for Executive Recruitment through Computer Based Test (CBT) 2026, covering Graduate Engineer, Officer, Assistant Quality Control Officer and Diploma Engineer positions. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. IOCL/CO-HR/RECTT/2026/01, dated August 14, 2026.

Online registration started on August 14 and will remain open until 5:00 PM on September 3, 2026. Depending on the position, applicants need a BE/BTech, MBA/PG Diploma, law degree, postgraduate qualification in Chemistry or engineering diploma. The posts carry Grade A, A0 and E0 pay scales, with appointments liable to be made at IOCL locations in India or overseas.

The selection process includes a Computer Based Test followed by Group Discussion/Group Task and Personal Interview. The CBT is tentatively scheduled for September 24, 2026.

IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Notification

The detailed IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 notification has been issued for recruitment through CBT in multiple disciplines. The notification covers Graduate Engineers in Chemical, Civil, Computer Science/IT, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation and Mechanical disciplines, along with positions in Marketing, Law, Quality Control and diploma-level engineering disciplines.

Posts and IOCL Executive Salary

The highest pay scale under the recruitment is ₹50,000–₹1,60,000 for Grade A Graduate Engineer and Officer posts. Assistant Quality Control Officers will join in Grade A0, while Diploma Engineers will be recruited in Grade E0.

In addition to basic pay, appointees will be eligible for applicable IOCL benefits including DA, HRA or subsidized housing, medical facilities, gratuity, contributory provident fund, Group Personal Accident Insurance, leave encashment, LTC/LFA, conveyance and Performance Related Pay as per corporation rules.

IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Educational qualifications and experience requirements vary considerably across the advertised positions.

Graduate Engineer – Grade A

Applicants must hold a full-time BE/BTech or equivalent qualification in the relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution.

The covered disciplines include:

• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science/Information Technology
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates require at least 65% marks, while the minimum is 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. No previous work experience is required.

Officer (Marketing) – Grade A

Candidates require a two-year full-time MBA or postgraduate diploma equivalent to MBA with Marketing specialization.

The minimum qualifying marks are 60% for General, EWS and OBC-NCL applicants and 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. Prior experience is not required.

Officer (Law) – Grade A

Applicants must possess a graduate degree with LLB or a five-year integrated LLB recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Candidates from General, EWS and OBC categories require at least 60% marks, while SC, ST and PwBD applicants require 55%, as applicable. Applicants must also have at least two years of post-qualification professional experience as of June 30, 2026.

Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0

A Master’s degree in Chemistry or the relevant accepted Chemistry specialization is required. General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates need at least 60% marks, compared with 55% for SC, ST and PwBD applicants.

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification experience in testing, research and development or quality control laboratories.

Diploma Engineer – Grade E0

Candidates must possess a three-year full-time engineering diploma in the relevant discipline. The recruitment covers notified engineering disciplines including Electrical and Mechanical, with the prescribed Industrial Safety qualification applicable to the Safety discipline.

The minimum marks are 65% for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. No prior experience is required. PwBD candidates are not eligible for the Safety post.

Age Limit

The upper age limit will be calculated as of July 1, 2026.

These limits apply to General/EWS candidates. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be available to eligible reserved-category candidates, PwBD applicants, Ex-Servicemen and other categories according to applicable government rules.

Application Fee

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the prescribed online payment facility.

IOCL Executive Selection Process

IOCL will select candidates through three stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Group Discussion and Group Task (GD/GT)
3. Personal Interview (PI)

For preparation of the final merit list, the CBT carries 85% weightage, GD/GT carries 5%, and the Personal Interview accounts for the remaining 10%. Candidates are also required to secure the applicable minimum qualifying marks at the relevant stages.

IOCL CBT Exam Pattern 2026

The Computer Based Test will contain 100 objective-type questions divided equally between General Aptitude and Domain Knowledge.

The standard examination duration is 60 minutes, with 80 minutes available to eligible PwBD candidates. A penalty of 0.25 marks will apply for each incorrect answer.

CBT Qualifying Marks

Candidates should refer to the prescribed discipline-specific syllabus while preparing for the examination.

2. Open the online application portal and select the option for new registration.
3. Enter the required name, contact information and email address to generate the provisional registration number and password.
4. Log in and complete the application with the required personal, academic and other information.
5. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature and left thumb impression in the specified format. The photograph should meet the date and other requirements stated in the notification.
6. Pay the application fee online where applicable using the available digital payment method.
7. Review the information carefully and submit the application before the deadline.
