The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur, an autonomous premier institute established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive for various faculty positions in 2025. As per Advertisement No. IISERBPR/DoFA/2025/02 dated 18th September 2025, the institute is inviting online applications from eligible Indian nationals for 42 faculty vacancies, including positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
Education
Candidates must hold a PhD with First Class or equivalent (60% marks or equivalent CGPA) at the preceding master’s degree level in relevant fields, including Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physical Sciences, Computational and Data Sciences, or Humanities and Social Sciences (Economics). They must also possess at least 3 years of teaching, research, or industry experience (excluding PhD) and a minimum of 6 publications as first author in Q1 journals (4 for Mathematics, Statistics, and Computational/Data Sciences).
Salary
The post carries Academic Pay Level-12 with an initial pay of ₹1,01,500 per month as per 7th CPC.
