The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi, an autonomous academic institution under the Government of NCT of Delhi, has announced the recruitment of faculty positions in the Department of Neurosurgery. A total of 3 posts are available on a regular basis including Professor, Additional Professor, and Assistant Professor. These appointments will be made as per the 7th CPC pay levels and provide an excellent opportunity for medical professionals with expertise in neurosurgery and relevant teaching/research experience.

Education

• Basic Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent included in the I/II Schedule or Part II of the III Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Postgraduate Degree: MD/MS in general discipline; MCh/DM in superspeciality (Neurosurgery).
• Professor: Minimum 14 years of teaching/research experience after MS/MD or 12 years after MCh/DM with at least 3 years as Additional Professor or 6 years as Associate Professor.
• Additional Professor: 10 years after MS/MD or 8 years after MCh/DM with at least 4 years as Associate Professor.
• Assistant Professor: 3 years after MS/MD in general disciplines or 1 year after MCh/DM in superspeciality.
• Desirable: Published research in indexed journals.

Salary

• Professor: Level-14A ₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400
• Additional Professor: Level-13A2+ ₹1,48,200 – ₹2,11,400
• Assistant Professor: Level-12 ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400

Age Limit

• Professor / Additional Professor: Up to 50 years
• Assistant Professor: Up to 45 years
• Age relaxation as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD

The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi, has announced a recruitment drive for 2025 through a walk-in interview process for 67+ posts. The vacancies are for Senior Residents (SR), Junior Residents (JR), and Senior Demonstrator (Neuro-Chemistry) across various specialties. These positions will be filled on a regular or tenure basis, providing a vital opportunity for qualified medical professionals and science graduates to join a premier mental health and neuroscience institute. The walk-in interview is scheduled for 17th July 2025 at IHBAS, Dilshad Garden, Delhi.

IHBAS Recruitment 2025 – Overview

Eligibility criteria and requirement

Candidates must meet the respective age limits and educational qualifications for each post. Age relaxations are available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD (10 years) as per government norms.

Education

• Senior Residents: Must have a recognized Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or Diploma in the concerned specialty from an MCI-recognized institution.
• Junior Residents: Must possess an MBBS degree or equivalent qualification recognized by the MCI.
• Senior Demonstrator (Neuro-Chemistry): M.Sc. in Neuro-Chemistry or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Salary

• Senior Residents: ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700 per month (Level 11)
• Junior Residents: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month (Level 10)
• Senior Demonstrator: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month (Level 06)

Age Limit

• Senior Residents: up to 45 years
• Junior Residents: up to 30 years
• Senior Demonstrator: up to 33 years
  Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per rules.

• ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates via Demand Draft in favor of Director, IHBAS, payable at Delhi
• No application fee for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates
