IGCAR Recruitment 2026 for Drivers and Other Posts

The Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, has announced a recruitment drive for the re-engagement of retired Driver Cadre personnel on a contractual basis. This opportunity is exclusively for retired employees from the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) or its Constituent Units who are below 65 years of age and possess a valid LMV and HMV driving license. The appointment is initially for one year, extendable annually up to five years post-superannuation. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their application in the prescribed format before 11th February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience
Must have retired on superannuation from Driver Cadre of DAE or its Constituent Units on or before 31/12/2025
Must be below 65 years as on date of application
Must possess a valid LMV and HMV driving licence issued by a competent authority
Medically fit for driving duties (certificate required)
No pending disciplinary/criminal cases or penalties for misconduct in the last 10 years
Salary
50% of Last Pay Drawn (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) at the time of retirement
Fixed Transport Allowance @ 50% of the Transport Allowance drawn at retirement
TA/DA applicable for official tours as per last held post
Age Limit
Below 65 years as on the last date of application
